Advocacy in Action: HomePAC Member Discusses Homecare Issues with Lawmaker
HomePAC Member Stanley Rynkiewicz, RN, MSN, WCC, DWC, CSS, NHA, Deer Meadows Home Health and Support Services recently met with State Rep. Vanessa Lowery Brown (D-Philadelphia) to discuss the challenges facing homecare providers in Pennsylvania. Contributors to HomePAC, PHA’s political action committee, can attend fundraisers, meetings and other events with lawmakers to spend time with these key decision-makers and delve into the issues that impact our industry.
PHA encourages all members to contribute to HomePAC to support the lawmakers who support homecare and hospice. Click here to contribute to HomePAC online. Click here to download a printable brochure.
New this year!
Now individuals can contribute to candidates running for the U.S. House or Senate in Washington, as well as those running for the Pennsylvania House or Senate by designating the amount they want to go to the federal PAC and the state PAC. With all 18 Congressional seats up for reelection this year in Washington and all of the state House seats and half of the Senate, HomePAC contributors can now target their dollars to go to those lawmakers who hold the cards on issues that could affect their agency’s daily operations.
Reminder to LLCs!
LLCs (Limited Liability Companies) can now contribute to HomePAC, as well. Partnerships, limited partnerships and LLCs may not contribute as entities, BUT a contribution may be drawn on the account of a partnership or LLC and is treated as a personal contribution as long as the account does not contain the funds of any corporate partner or member.
